An EV battery manufacturer has invested in 25 hose clamp assembly machines to produce clamps with built-in thermal fuses for battery packs. The fuses melt at 80°C, disconnecting the clamp and preventing thermal runaway in case of overheating. A European EV maker reports that the fuses reduced battery fire risks by 70% in crash tests, meeting strict EU safety regulations for electric vehicles.
