African governments are partnering with Chinese machinery firms to transfer hose clamp assembly machine technology, aiming to build local manufacturing capacity. A Kenyan-Chinese joint venture opened a production facility in 2025, manufacturing low-cost machines adapted for African conditions (e.g., solar power, dust resistance). The venture plans to produce 500 machines annually, with 70% sold locally and 30% exported to other African countries.
