A defense contractor has developed a specialized hose clamp assembly machine to produce clamps for military tactical vehicles. The machine produces clamps with reinforced metal alloys that withstand ballistic impact and extreme terrain vibrations, meeting U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) MIL-STD-882 standards. The U.S. Army has ordered 50 machines to equip its vehicle maintenance depots, expecting to reduce clamp replacement rates during field operations by 50%.
